Renal hypoplasia is a congenital small kidney with typical tissue architecture and diminished renal function.
Epidemiology of Renal Hypoplasia
2.5% is the risk for unilateral renal hypoplasia.
Signs and Symptoms of Renal Hypoplasia
Unilateral renal hypoplasia causes no symptoms. Bilateral renal hypoplasia will lead to renal insufficiency.
