Definition of Renal Hypoplasia
Renal hypoplasia is a congenital small kidney with diminished renal function, which has a normal tissue architecture.
Epidemiology of Renal Hypoplasia
2.5% is the risk for unilateral renal hypoplasia.
Signs and Symptoms of Renal Hypoplasia
Unilateral renal hypoplasia causes no symptoms. Bilateral renal hypoplasia can be the cause of renal insufficiency.
